Sands China Ltd. (HKG:1928) announced that by a letter dated 13 July 2012, the Macao Government informed the Company that, by a decision of the Secretary for Transportation and Public Works, the extension of the construction period relating to Parcel 3, a land parcel in Cotai, was authorized up to 17 April 2016. By the same letter, the Company was also informed that it will be notified about the penalty amount which shall be payable by us due to the delay of the construction period.
