Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released alternative fueled vehicle production volume of August in the country a day earlier. In August, Chinese alternative fueled vehicle production surged about four times from a year earlier to 24,500 units in accordance with the statistics of factory quality certification of motor vehicles.

Specifically speaking, pure electric passenger vehicle production in last month nearly quadrupled to 9,175 units on a year-on-year basis and plug-in passenger vehicle output in the country also surged three times from a year earlier to 6,778 unis. Yet, pure electric commercial vehicle output sharply jumped 21 times from a year earlier to 6,446 times, and plug-in commercial vehicle production increased 1.48 times from last year to 2,142 units.

Last month, up to 88 percent alternative fueled vehicles of 21,600 units are included in the first four patches of Directory of Purchase Tax-free Alternative Fueled Vehicle released by the central government of China.

The accumulative output of alternative fueled vehicles in the first eight months amounted to 123,500 units, a jump of three times compared with the same period of last year. For the first eight months,in specific, pure electric passenger vehicle production tripled from a year earlier to 52,100 units, while plug-in passenger vehicle output reached 32,800 units, quintupling that of last year. Pure electric commercial vehicle output jumped eight-fold from a year earlier to 28,300 units, and that of plug-in reached 10,200, an increase of 96 percent on a year-on-year basis.
