National Tourist Routes See Sharp Price Drop

The cost for national tourist trips will drop by about 30 percent on Thursday, after climbing to a peak during the past three days of the nations' golden holiday week, the Beijing Morning Post reported.
As learned from many renowned domestic tourist agencies, top national tourist sites like Jiuzhaigou, Lijiang and Zhangjiajie see a big decline in cost, by as much as 30 percent, starting from Thursday.
At the same time, the cost for travelling abroad is also set to go down. Sources with Xiecheng Travel, which provides tourism service online, revealed that the cost of trips to Japan and South Korea will be reduced by as much as 1,000 yuan, or about 133 US dollars, as of October 4.
Popular tourist sites from October 4 to 7 are still fully booked by visitors during the latter part of the golden week, the report added.
