Ctrip Q3 Revenue Up 55% YoY

Online travel services provider Ctrip (Nasdaq: CTRP) announced third quarter 2007 net revenues of US$43 million, up 55 percent year-on-year and 12 percent from the second quarter of 2007, after market close on Wednesday. Ctrip's third quarter net income was $15 million, up from $12 million in the previous quarter. Revenue from hotel reservations was $23 million, up 40 percent year-on-year and two percent from the second quarter of 2007. Ctrip booked a total of 2.52 million hotel room nights in the third quarter, up from 1.82 million in the third quarter of 2006 and 2.41 million in the previous quarter. Air ticket booking revenues totaled $18 million, up 76 percent year-on-year and 18 percent quarter-on-quarter. Ctrip sold a total of 2.91 million air tickets in the third quarter, compared to 1.72 million in the year-ago period and 2.55 million in the previous quarter. Packaged-tour revenues for the third quarter of 2007 were $3 million, up 61 percent from the both the year-ago period and the previous quarter. Ctrip expects approximately 35 percent year-on-year revenue growth for the fourth quarter.
