Towngas China Company Limited is an investment holding company. Its subsidiaries are principally engaged in the sales and distribution of piped gas in China, including the provision of piped gas, construction of gas pipelines, the operation of city gas pipeline network, the operation of Gas Fuel automobile refilling stations, and the sale of gas household appliances. The Company operates in two segments: Sales and distribution of piped gas and related products, and Gas pipeline construction. The Gas pipeline construction segment engages in the construction of gas pipeline networks under gas connection contracts. In July, 2010, it acquired 100% equity interest in Towngas BVI from Hong Kong & China Gas (China) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (HKCG). In September 2010, it acquired 60% in Jiujiang Hong Kong and China Gas Co., Ltd. (Jiujiang). In July 2010, it acquired 95% equity interest in Guilin Hong Kong and China Gas Co., Ltd. (Guilin).
