Shanghai Pharmaceuticals (HKG:2607) announced that its executive director, Zhou Jie, has been elected by its board of directors as the chairman of the fourth session of the board.

Zhou has also been appointed as an authorised representative of the company.

The term of office for the above positions is from 1 June 2012 to 31 March 2013.

 Towngas China's (HKG:1083) gas sales this year are expected to rise by 15-20% to over 5 billion cubic metres, with service subscribers rising to more than 6 million, chairman Alfred Chan Wing-kin said today. He expects the company's gas sales to continue to record double-digit growth in the future.
