Memory module firm Adata Technology has reported NT$2.535 billion (US$89 million) in revenues for April 2011, down 19.2% sequentially. Revenues from January through April totaled NT$10.53 billion, decreasing 31.8% from the same period of 2010.

Clients made advance purchases in the second half of March, but have taken a wait-and-see approach due to lack of strength in demand, Adata said. The company therefore expressed caution about its outlook for the second quarter.

Sales of NAND flash and other non-DRAM products accounted for 56.44% of Adata's April revenues, while DRAM modules took up the remainder.

Adata also noted that it does not intend to cut prices as its first priority, in order to maintain profits at a reasonable level.

Adata returned to profitability in the first quarter of 2011, following three consecutive quarters of losses. The earnings for the period translated into an EPS of NT$0.42.
