August 12 -- China Southern Airlines (RCode:600029) posted a 5.3 percent year-on-year increase in passenger throughput to 7.6 million in July, reports Yicai.com, citing a company filing.

The passenger load factor in July rose 3.5 percentage points to 85 percent.

Cargo and mail throughput in July hit 89,830 tons, down 0.1 percent.

During the first seven months, passenger throughput was up six percent year-on-year to 46.04 million, while cargo and mail throughput rose 4.1 percent to 626,170 tons.

Shares of China Southern Airlines were down 0.74 percent to trade at 8.05 yuan at 14:05 today.
