August 25 -- Shanghai Electric Group Company (601727.SH) cooperated with Schneider on a project to cut energy use in buildings by as much as 30 percent, reports China Business News, citing a company filing. On the list of edifices to become more environmentally friendly are administrative buildings, commercial buildings and cinemas.
Schneider CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire said the company will send an expert group to participate in the project. Jean also added that Shanghai now has some 8,000 buildings with energy efficiency problems.
