August 25 –Beijing Sanyuan Foods (600429) emerged from losses, reporting a net profit of 28.39 million yuan in the first half of 2011, reports Yicai.com, citing a company filing. Sales revenue in the same period hit 1.48 billion yuan.

The company attributed the profit growth to higher gross margins, brand image improvement and lower losses from its subsidiary Hebei Sanyuan. The latter factor was reportedly the most significant contributor to Sanyuan Foods’ healthy profits in the first six months.

Sanyuan Foods posted sales revenue of 1.28 billion yuan and a loss of 51.51 million yuan in the first half of 2010.
