Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 24) - Chongqing-based automobile and motorcycle manufacturer Lifan Motors announced that its sales increased 41.76 percent in the first half of the year, dnkb.com.cn reported today. News of Lifan's impressive sales result comes as the automobile market continues to slow down. The manufacturer saw a 59.76 percent increase in its second quarter sales alone.

Official statistics see sales of Lifan vehicles on a constant rise, with its flagship 620 series (pictured above) attaining sales growth of 33.87 percent. Meanwhile, the 520 sedan (pictured below), despite its long run on the market, also saw large positive sales growth at 71.58 percent. The 320 and 520i also saw sales growth rates of over 30 percent.

Spring is seen as a traditionally slow season in the Chinese automobile market, which makes Lifan's sales result all the more outstanding.
