September 6 -- Jiangsu Yanghe Brewery (002304) filed that it will lift the ex-factory price of its liquor products by five to 10 percent on September 13 due to rising costs of materials, reports Shanghai Securities News.

Wuliangye Yibin (000858) filed earlier that it will lift its ex-factory price on September 10 by 20-30 percent.

Next week’s Mid-Autumn Festival will usher in the traditional peak season for Chinese liquor consumption. Still, a supply shortage, particularly in the market for high-end liquors, has persisted, the source said.

In the first half of this year, Kweichow Moutai (600519) and Wuliangye profited 4.9 billion yuan and 3.4 billion yuan respectively. Anhui Gujing Distillery (000596), Shanxi Xinghuacun Fen Wine Factory (600809), and Yanghe Brewery respectively posted net profit growth of 168 percent, 97 percent, and 70 percent year-on-year in the first half.
