China Unicom (600050, 0762.HK) launched the Nanning International Project, in which Nanning will become the company's fourth exit and entry point for international telecom services, after Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, reports chinanews.com.

At the end of 2010, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology granted approval to China Unicom to establish the China-ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Regional Telecom exit and entry point city.

Nanning will have business access to voice and data services from 10 ASEAN countries and 31 provinces and cities in China.
