November 1 -- China Mobile (0941.HK) announced the launch of a data roaming package for users effective today, reports cww.net.

The move came following the giant mobile operator reducing international roaming fees by an average of 38.6 percent in 38 countries and regions from August 9.

The data roaming service will cover Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea, and is aimed at customers who frequently use the mobile Internet service while roaming in these seven countries and regions.

Upon activation, customers will be able to enjoy unlimited mobile Internet roaming for the day.

The service will cost 88 yuan per day for use in Hong Kong, and 98 yuan per day in Macao, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Korea.
