The Latitude developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties is the largest residential development in East Kowloon and the first development overlooking the Kai Tak renaissance and new cruise terminal as part of the government's plans to develop the area. The developer opened a model of the project's Club Latitude, which is the largest in the district, and an unmodified premium unit show flat.

Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Project Director - Sales Amy Teo said: "The Kai Tak cruise terminal is expected to come into operation in mid 2013. This about HK$100 billion investment will be integrated with other developments in East Kowloon to form a new business district like Central, as outlined in the policy address this year. Such enormous advantages in the district will offer good prospects for area projects like The Latitude, which is the largest."

There is 5.4 million square metres of land available for development in East Kowloon, which equals to two Centrals, so it can easily be a core business district with grade-A offices. The government is planning to sell nine more commercial sites with a total area of over 6.3 million square feet for HK$24 billion dollars, adding to the potential.

Only four-bedroom double en suites in the district
Ms Teo said: "The Latitude is the largest residential development in the area and we have received over 500 enquiries since the announcement of new developments in East Kowloon in the policy address and the opening of the Mikiki shopping mall, so we will release a limited number of the premium B units in Tower 1A soon. The units face south to overlook Victoria Harbour and the Kai Tak redevelopment. They are the only four-bedroom units with double en suites in the district. They cover 1,701 square feet (1,333 square feet saleable), which will appeal to buyers."

The living and dining rooms of the units do not have entrance hallways, but resemble the spaciousness of a grand mansion with double doors and an impressive floor-to-floor height of ten feet, ten inches (3.3m) . The living and dining room is 335 feet wide with a 37-foot balcony and extra-large floor-to-ceiling window, creating a 23-foot (6.9m) wide screen that showcases the flourishing cityscape of Kai Tak.

Largest clubhouse in the district
The Latitude has a three-storey luxury Club Latitude clubhouse costing nearly HK$400 million. Every facility in the clubhouse has top-quality materials reflecting a lifestyle befitting and international residence.

Club Latitude is the largest clubhouse and open space in the district covering 100,000 square feet. The landscaped garden was designed by the renowned Belt Collins International to be a relaxing oasis in the city with natural stone, offering every unit a natural backdrop of greenery.

The lobby of Club Latitude has an exceptional 23-foot ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and a grand chandelier of translucent stone.

The clubhouse has a comprehensive range of facilities for the athletic relaxed residents including a 35-metre outdoor pool, 20-metre indoor pool, whirlpool, spa, multi-function room, fitness centre, gym, multi-function stadium, walking track, four-lane bowling centre, snooker room, family game room, activity room, cinema, karaoke lounge, piano room and barbecue zone. The Mikiki shopping mall at the base of the property is open to supply everything that residents need.
