November 17 -- China Mobile (0941.HK) has completed the building of "Wireless City" platforms in 150 Chinese cities in 22 provinces by the end of October, reports china.com.cn.
The mobile operator hopes to have 10 million users of its "Wireless City" data plan by year end.
The "Wireless City" platforms allow users to access the wireless network anytime anywhere, enabling them to have access to close to 10,000 applications.
Among others, the applications allow users to pay their utility bills, access their medical records, shop for products.
China Mobile's Mobile Market currently has more than 800,000 applications, with average monthly downloads hitting 100 million.
