BEIJING -(MarketWatch)- Chinese online game and social-networking services company Tencent Holdings Ltd. invested about CNY130 million in a Chinese provider of Internet cafe-related services, Tencent said.
Tencent now has a stake of around 4% in Shunwang Technology, which provides software for Internet cafe management and other services like advertising, Tencent said late Wednesday.
The two companies will pursue broad strategic cooperation, Tencent said.
Tencent this year has stepped up its strategic investments in other companies as it looks for new ways to fuel growth.
