The new factory that Bright Dairy built in New Zealand after it bought 51% of Synlait Milk’s stake equities one year ago was put into production today. It was equipped with advanced production facilities and its production capacity is one of the world’s best. It is also the production base of the dairy company’s high-end Pure Canterbury milk powder.
Synlait Milk, one of the two infant formula milk powder providers in New Zealand, was among top five milk processors in the country before its deal with Bright Dairy and was once the milk provider and shareholder of New Zealand’s dairy giant Fonterra. After the purchase, Synlait Milk began to gain profits in 2011, taking in NZ$ 185 million of revenue from January to July, and its annual number is expected to be 115% of its estimate.
