December 15 -- China Mobile (00941.HK) has regained the operating rights to its 12580 service in November, reports Beijing Times.
The largest operator in the world had publicized all of its nine major businesses at its 2011 Global Developers Conference, and renamed its former mobile phone gaming base as "games and 12580 base".
The details of the transaction are being negotiated at present, said a source from the operator's data department.
According to the report, the 12580 business had generated earnings of 70.1 million yuan in 2010.
China Mobile had since 2010 started to regain some of its data businesses that were previously outsourced.
China Mobile had also recently got back the operating rights to its Fetion mobile instant messaging service.
