ASRock has set a goal of shipping 10 million motherboards in 2012, increasing by 28.2% from 2011, according to the company.

Currently, Europe accounts for nearly 40% of ASRock's revenues, followed by the Asia Pacific market except China with 30%, the China market with 12%, and the remainder in North and South America, the company indicated. ASRock will focus marketing in China, Asia Pacific and Brazil in 2012.

Particularly in the China market, ASRock hopes to surpass Micro-Star International and Biostar Microtech International in terms of market share in 2012 and challenge Gigabyte Technology and Asustek Computer in 2013, the company said. ASRock expects revenue proportion for the China market to rise to over 15% in 2012, the company indicated.

ASRock began development of motherboards for use in industrial PCs and servers in the fourth quarter of 2011 and is developing more than six models, the company indicated.

ASRock outsources production to Hong Kong-based EMS provider Fittec Electronics which currently has 70% of its motherboard production capacity in China and 30% in Vietnam, ASRock noted. To cope with hiking wage rates in China, Fittec will increase the capacity proportion in Vietnam to 35% at the end of 2012, ASRock indicated.

ASRock expects to ship 2.1-2.2 million motherboards in the first quarter of 2012, sequentially growing by 16.7-22.2%, the company pointed out.

ASRock recorded net EPS of NT$8.74 for January-September 2011 and is expected to attain 2011 net EPS of over NT$11, according to market analysts.
