Wal-Mart’s Expansion in China in 2011

Wal-Mart opened 43 new stores in Chinese mainland area in 2011 and its store count was 267 ending on December 31, 2011, including 254 supercenters, 6 Sam’s Clubs, 3 Great Value-branded discount stores and 2 supermarkets.
 
The list of its new openings in Chinese mainland market is as follows: 3 stores in Zhejiang, 5 in Jiangsu, 4 in Shanghai, 4 in Anhui, 1 in Henan, 4 in Guangdong, 1 in Yunnan, 3 in Sichuan, 4 in Hubei, 1 in Beijing, 1 in Shandong, 1 in Shanxi, 1 in Liaoning, 5 in Fujian, 2 in Hebei, 1 in Jilin, 1 in Jiangxi and 1 in Hunan.
