China Coal Energy Company Limited, one of China's largest coal miners, said on Tuesday that its net profit increased 37.6 percent year-on-year to 9.5 billion yuan (1.51 billion U.S. dollars) in 2011.
Business revenue rose 24.7 percent from previous year to 88.87 billion yuan, according to the company's annual report filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Its earnings per share stood at 0.72 yuan last year, up 38.5 percent year-on-year, said the report.
