Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Lenovo (0992.HK) announced on April 5 that it would begin pre-order sales of its smart TV at 10 AM on April 10. The company will initially release two models, the 42" K71 and the 55" K91. The K71 has a retail price of RMB 6,499, and is already listed for pre-order in Lenovo's online store and on Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy. Pricing information and pre-order dates for the 55" K91 are not yet available.
Lenovo's smart TVs run Android 4.0 and feature 3D LED IPS displays, as well as built-in 5 megapixel video cameras for videoconferencing, voice control, and face recognition features.
