According to data recently released by group buy directory site Tuan800, China's group buy transaction volume in March grew 236.2% YoY to reach RMB 1.73 bln. In Q1 2012, total group buy transaction volume reached RMB 4.51 bln, up 234.1% YoY and 18.5% QoQ.
In March, total group buy customers reached 42.99 mln, an increase of 189% YoY and 28% QoQ. During the month, 357 group buy sites closed down, leaving the total number of group buy sites at the end of March at 3,269.
