Chinese internet company Sina's (Nasdaq: SINA) Weibo microblogging platform has begun internal testing of a new user-generated content (UGC) ad-supported platform called "Weikan," according to an industry source.
"Weikan" will have its own subdomain (kan.weibo.com), and will match user-generated content with suitable online advertising, for which users will receive a revenue share. The platform does not yet have an official release date.
