Ford Motor Co.'s China deliveries increased 15 percent from a year earlier to 88,189 vehicles last month, led by its passenger vehicle joint venture, Changan Ford Automobile Co.
Changan Ford delivered 69,074 vehicles in July, up 20 percent year on year.
Ford said the Escort was a hot-selling model, with sales up 82 percent last month. However, Ford did not disclose sales of individual models.
Deliveries at Jiangling Motor Corp., Ford's commercial vehicle partnership, rose 6 percent year on year to 17,748 vehicles.
But sales of imported Ford models plunged 50 percent to 1,367 vehicles.
In the first seven months, Ford and its two joint ventures sold 652,836 vehicles, an increase of 6 percent over the same period a year earlier.
