China Mobile (NYSE: CHL, 941.HK) is expected to list in the A-shares market as early as the first half of 2008, reports Sohu citing Monday's Hong Kong Economic Journal which attributes the news to an unnamed Chinese regulatory official. The report said China Mobile would complete the offering by August of this year to become the first red chip company to return to the motherland. Similar rumors cropped up more than a year ago saying the mobile mammoth would list in the domestic market by mid-2007 before being denied by China Mobile spokesperson Rainie Lei.
