China Mobile Ltd has Africa and the Middle East as priorities for international expansion this year and is considering setting up a virtual wireless network in Europe, the London-based Financial Times reported.

The company will target emerging markets, overseas Chinese wanting to stay in touch with home and Chinese on short international business and leisure trips, the newspaper said yesterday, citing Henry Ge, the chief representative of China Mobile UK.

Epicor Software CorpJoint project targets hotel industry

Epicor Software Corporation has signed a contract with a Shanghai technology company to tap into China's hotel industry.

The cooperation between the leading ERP software supplier and Shanghai SYX Co Ltd will be a boost for Epicor to expand business in China's hotel industry, said Bryan Tan, vice president for Epicor Asia.

Epicor also reported that its revenue increased 12 percent to a record of US$429.8 million last year.
