BEIJING -(Dow Jones)- GDF Suez SA (GSZ.FR), the French power and gas company, said Monday that it has had contact with oil and gas companies such as China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (SNP), or Sinopec, and China National Petroleum Corp. (SNP) about working together on LNG projects.
"We have already identified some joint projects that we may look at together in the exploration sector in particular, but also in the framework of (liquefied natural gas) deliveries," Jean-Marie Dauger, who heads the company's global gas and LNG business, said at a press conference.
GDF Suez already has an agreement with China National Offshore Oil Corp. to supply 2.6 million metric tons of LNG between 2013 and 2017. It also will supply Cnooc with a vessel to store and regasify LNG offshore.
