Taiwan 3Q11 international Internet bandwidth reaches over 554Gbps

Taiwan's direct Internet connection with 18 countries (including Hong Kong and Macau) reached a total bandwidth of 554.751Gbps as of the end of third-quarter 2011, increasing 5.34% on quarter and 30.02% on year, according to the government-sponsored Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC).

HiNet, operated by Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), had international Internet connection bandwidth of 292.938Gbps at the end of the quarter, the largest among ISPs or non-commercial equivalents in Taiwan, followed by TWGate with 79.722Gbps, ncic (Sparq) with 69.218Gbps, TFN with 28.841Gbps, CNS-KBT with 24.290Gbps, NTT with 13.219Gbps, So-net with 10.000Gbps, AGC with 7.620Gbps, ASNet with 7.465Gbps and TWAREN with 5.599Gbps.
