As part of its remarkable expansion into Australia, Asia’s largest carrier, China Southern Airlines, has launched its first recruitment drive for local Aussie cabin crew.
“Australia is one of our fastest growing markets so it makes good business sense to enhance our Australian flights with local character,” said China Southern’s Regional General Manager Australia/New Zealand Henry He.
“To acknowledge our increasingly diverse passenger mix, we are bridging on-board culture by blending the best of Aussie hospitality with traditional Cantonese service.”
The recruitment drive started in Sydney this week with plans to extend to Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth next year.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for Australians who have dreamt of becoming international flight attendants to do so with one of the world’s largest airlines flying into one of the world’s most exciting and fastest-developing regions - OId Canton in Southern China,” Mr He said.
Successful candidates will get the chance to travel to China Southern’s home port of Guangzhou to become fully-fledged flight attendants, initially working on the twice daily Sydney to Guangzhou route.
