Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET), one of the three largest mobile telecom carriers in Taiwan, on December 26 launched service of building smartphone-based websites for use by enterprises on lease at a monthly rent of NT$750 (US$24.8), according to the company.
FET integrates a smart website-building software system, cloud computing servers and high-speed broadband Internet-access bandwidth to offer nine versions of smartphone-based websites available for choice by enterprises in different industries, FET indicated. Content of such websites consists of key items including about us, product information, latest news, contact us, and an editing software kit will be provided for business users to modify or update content of their websites or upload information, FET pointed out.
The service is based on the consideration that screens of smartphones or other mobile terminal devices are smaller than those of PCs and processors of them are functionally inferior to those of PCs as well as time of loading web pages should be as short as possible, FET pointed out.
