Zijin Mining (SHA:601899, HKG:2899) announces that it has received a notice from substantial shareholder Minxi Xinghang State-owned Assets Investment Co., Ltd. (Minxi Xinghang) stating that Minxi Xinghang pledged its 600 million shares of Zijin Mining to Minmetals International Trust Co., Ltd. as a security for its own business development purpose with 1 year pledging period.

Minxi Xinghang holds 6.316 billion shares of Zijin Mining, representing approximately 28.96% of the total number of the company's issued shares, among which 1.2 billion shares, representing approximately 5.5% of the total number of the issued shares, were pledged.
