China recorded a 3.68 percent year-on-year increase in gold output to 24.133 tons in January, of which gold mines produced 19.73 tons, up 2.27 percent, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The 10 largest gold producers posted a 1.27 percent year-on-year increase in gold output to 13.65 tons, accounting for 56.58 percent of total national output.
Gold companies nationwide generated total output value of 18.93 billion yuan, an increase of 35.6 percent, and total profits rose 36.18 percent to 1.93 billion yuan.
