China's telecom business achieved a 202.66 billion yuan income in January-February 2012, up 18.8 percent over the same period last year, including a 160.55 billion yuan revenue of main telecom business, an increase of 11.3%, officials released the data on web site of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Telephone subscribers increased 9.905 million to a total of 1.291209 billion in February 2012; Mobile phone subscribers rose 20.669 million to a total of 1.006923 billion, breaking the 1 billion mark; 3G subscribers added 15.495 million to a total of 143.919 million.

Mobile communications business reached a 114.81 billion yuan revenue, an increase of 15.2 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 71.51 percent of the main telecom business revenue increased from 69.05 percent a year earlier; Fixed communications business gained a 45.74 billion yuan income, an increase of 2.4% over the same period last year, accounting for the 28.49 percent of the main telecom business revenue dropped from 30.95 percent a year earlier.
