Telecommunications giant China Unicom saw 373,000 more mobile phone users subscribe to its CDMA network last month, the largest monthly growth since July last Year.The Company's CDMA network provides services for more than 36 million mobile phone users.

Based on the CDMA (code division multiple access) technology, the network promotes itself on claims of a large capacity and high quality of communication as well as low radiation.

Both the CDMA and GSM networks posted consecutive increases in monthly new subscriptions since August.

China Unicom is the country's second largest mobile operator only after China Mobile. Its operating revenue from CDMA reached 12.69 billion Yuan (1.59 billion U.S. dollars) in the first half of the year.
