About 23.35 million GSM and CDMA handsets were sold in the China market in the fourth quarter of last year, with Nokia and Motorola having a combined market share of 57.7% for GSM handsets while Samsung, ZTE (local brand) and Motorola were the top three brands for CDMA models.
In 2006, 84.61 million GSM and 6.03 million CDMA handsets were sold, an increase of 17.3% and a drop of 11.8%, respectively, from the 2005 totals.
