HUAWEI Technologies Co, China's biggest maker of telecommunications equipment, said its 2007 sales may rise 36 percent from last year as the company wins more orders from telephone carriers outside its home market.

Contract sales this year may rise to US$15 billion from US$11 billion in 2006, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province-based Huawei said yesterday. Overseas revenue accounted for 65.3 percent of 2006 contract sales and is expected to exceed that proportion this year, Huawei said.
