POLKOMTEL SA, a Polish mobile phone company partly controlled by the government, will buy telecommunication equipment from south China-based ZTE Corp, to add new services.

The telco agreed yesterday to buy new equipment for 25 million zloty (US$8.8 million) this year and "more orders will follow," Polkomtel's president Jaroslaw Bauc told journalists in Warsaw, without indicating the value of future orders.
