Nokia Siemens Networks, the world's third-biggest telecommunications-equipment maker, won a 70 million-euro (US$95 million) order to expand the network of China Mobile Group Yunnan Co, according to Bloomberg today.
The deal is to help install and expand mobile phone coverage in urban and rural areas of 11 cities in the Yunnan province, the Espoo, Finland-based company said in an e-mailed statement today.
The network will be based on the global system for mobile communications standard, or GSM.
