Nasdaq-listed Qiao Xing Universal Telephone Inc, a manufacturer and distributor of telecommunications products, said in a statement that its operating subsidiary, CEC Telecom Co Ltd (CECT), has signed a 1 bln yuan agreement with Bei Dou Communication & Equipment Co Ltd to establish an e-commerce and promotional outlet for selling CECT's handsets.

Under the agreement, CECT will deal directly with retail outlets and customers via China-based Bei Dou's mobile handset Internet sales platform.

CECT will provide training programs to retailers, including product education, pricing management, customer targeting and other selling techniques, as well as technical support.

Both companies will also continue to work together to develop Internet sales, retail channels and other value-added services strategies.

Financial details of the agreement were not provided.
