CHINA Mobile Ltd, the world's largest mobile-phone company by users, has named a vice president from its state-owned parent as an executive director. Huang Wenlin, 53, joined China Mobile Ltd as executive director and vice president from yesterday, the company said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange.

Huang will receive HK$90,000 (US$11,572) a month in pay, in addition to a bonus and share options related to her performance, the statement from the Beijing-based company said.

In July, Huang joined China Mobile Communications Corp, which owns 74.4 percent of China Mobile Ltd, after resigning as executive director of China Telecom Corp, the nation's biggest fixed-line telephone company, Bloomberg News reported. Zhang Chenshuang, a former executive director at China Mobile Ltd, moved in the opposite direction by joining China Telecom in the same month.
