Baidu.com (BIDU), the largest Chinese search engine service provider, is reportedly cooperating with several telecom operators from China to provide mobile phone search programs for the coming 3G service.

Alan Zhang, a representative from Baidu's Business Development Department, says that Baidu has cooperated with China Mobile and China Netcom and is prepared for next year's 3G service. However, Zhang refuses to disclose more details about the cooperations.

Two years ago, Baidu became a leader in China's mobile search field through its WAP system. Baidu's leading role in the Chinese market has been further enhanced since then, with various reports putting its share of the market at around 65%, and rival Google owning less than 30% of the market.
