Asia Pacific Broadband Telecom (APBT), a fixed-line telecommunication service operator in Taiwan, plans to introduce CDMA technology and solutions from Sprint Nextel through a three-year consulting contract worth US$3.70 million, according to APBT.

APBT also plans to introduce handsets from Japan-based KDDI, the company indicated.

Of its planned capital expansion of NT$20.0 billion, APBT has collected NT$42 million as a 5% down payment for subscription by its personal shareholders and employees worth NT$840 million or 4.2% of the target amount, APBT pointed out. The 95.8% of the planned additional capital will be raised from existing and new corporate shareholders, with the latter including foreign investors, APBT noted.
