Huawei Technologies, one of China's top telecom equipment providers, had sales of over 16 bln usd in 2007, up 45 pct, portal sina.com reported, citing sources.

According to the report, Ren Zhengfei, Huawei's president, said at a company meeting that the sales target for 2008 is 24-25 bln usd.

Huawei's mobile telecom equipment sales in 2007 totaled 7 bln usd amid strong overseas markets.
