Shandong Oriental Ocean Sci-Tech Co., Ltd is principally engaged in the breeding, raising, processing and export of aquatic products. The Company鈥檚 products include: aquatic seeds, including kelp seedlings, abalone fries and scallop fries; cultured products, including fish and holothurians; processed products, including fish and shrimp, and collagen, such as deep-sea fish collagen. The Company's products are distributed within the domestic market and to the overseas markets, such as Europe, the rest of Asia, the United States and Canada. As of December 31, 2009, the Company had three subsidiaries.

The Company, founded in 2001, is a subsidiary company of Shandong Oriental Ocean Group Limited and was listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange from November, 2006. It is mainly engaged in sea-farming, food processing and bonded storage business, covering business in marine cultivation, refrigeration and processing, technology promotion and international trade, listed among the national high-tech enterprises， the national leading companies in agricultural industrialization, the national fine aquatic seedlings production bases.
By market-oriented and benefit-centered, the Company always makes development and innovation as the main line and vigorously promotes the innovation of system, technology and management, which continuously strengthens the general power of the company. At present, the company has built its Yantai development zone branch, Haiyang branch, Laizhou branch, Muping branch, frozen food processing factory, bonded processing and marketing base, collagen processing factory; owns four wholly-owned subsidiaries: Yantai Shanhai Food Co., Ltd, Shandong Oriental Ocean Marketing Co., Ltd, TB International Co.,Ltd., Shandong Oriental Ocean International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd as well as one subsidiary company: Yantai Defeng Sea Food Co., Ltd.

As the company attaches much importance to the standardization production and management, it has passed the EU sanitary registration, HACCP certification, ISO9001 Quality Management System Certification, OHSMS18001 certification, BRC certification, IFS certification, ETI certification, GMP certification; its main products have passed the cognizance of the pollution-free agriculture products location and pollution-free agriculture products certification; the turbot farm has passed the ChinaGAP certification; the bonded storage area has gained the certification of Class 4A storage and logistics; its sea cucumber products is permitted to use the special signs of geographical indication products on Yantai sea cucumbers.

Adhering to the idea of development “getting prosperous with technology,” owning the first-class R&D team and research facilities, it is listed among the first innovation centers of the leading enterprises of China “Spark Program”, the first national research centers of agricultural products processing company as well as national R&D centers of companies, the top 25 aquatic products processing and marketing companies, the top 100 leading food companies and the top 10 credit companies. It has also built the demonstration base for marine science and technology, together with Institute of Oceanology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ludong University and some others.
