Guodian Changyuan Electric Power (000966) reported a loss of 330 million yuan in the first half of 2011, reports power.in-en.com, citing a company filing. Sales revenue in the first half was 3.83 billion yuan, and the company reported a debt ratio of 90.44 percent by the end of June.

Changyuan Electric’s installed capacity totals 4.35 million kilowatt, accounting for 9.63 percent of the total power installed capacity in Hubei province.

As the company suffered losses in the first half, the power plant was approved to raise electricity prices, and its sales revenue for the 2011 year is expected to grow by 280 million yuan.

Changyuan Electric Power predicts losses between 400 and 455 million yuan in the first three quarters of this year.
