August 15 -- Hunan Jiangnan Red Arrow (000519), a maker of cylinder liners and pistons for use in automobiles, tractors, engineering machinery and related products, incurred a loss of 2.88 million yuan in the first half of 2011, with loss per share of 0.015 yuan, reports p5w.net, citing a company filing.
During the same period a year ago, the company had recorded a profit of 1.21 million yuan, with earnings per share of 0.006 yuan.
Sales revenue rose 9.86 percent year-on-year to 196 million yuan.
The company suffered from the huge increases in raw material and energy costs, while current production capacity is insufficient to meet market demand.
