GOME Electrical Appliances Holding Ltd.'s (RCode:0493.HK) first-half net profit rose 30% from a year earlier partly because of higher profit margin amid lower finance costs, it said Monday.

Net profit for the six months ended June 30 was CNY1.25 billion, up from CNY962.3 million, China's largest electronics retailer by revenue said.

Revenue rose 19.8% to CNY29.81 billion from CNY24.87 billion, the Hong Kong-listed company added.

The Beijing-based company which operates under two major brands, GOME Appliances and China Paradise, recommended a first-half dividend of CNY0.022. It didn't pay a first-half dividend last year.
