Independent solar power producer, Sonnedix has completed and grid connected two PV power plants in Italy before the September cut-off period for compliance with FiT changes implemented under the Conto Energia IV.
A 5.2MW plant was built near the town of San Benedetto di Marsi, Italy using REC modules and developed by REC Systems under and EPC contract.
The second 6MW plant was built near Lazio and constructed by Assyce using Trina Solar modules under a similar EPC contract.
"We completed these projects on time thanks to the seamless coordination between our local team and the highly diligent EPCs. These additions bring the Sonnedix fleet to just under 30MW of operational assets," noted Andreas Mustad, CEO of Sonnedix.
Sonnedix noted that it had an additional 20MW of new solar projects under construction. A new 7.5MW PV power plant is expected to be officially inaugurated next week in Aube, France using what is believed to be First Solar’s CdTe thin film modules. EDF Energies is believed to be the EPC contractor on this project.
